“You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth, thinking about how you’ll escape it one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going, but you never do it. You just use the future to escape the present." Looking For Alaska, John Green

Just Dance
If you feel like going on a mind trip, watch the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?: Down the Rabbit Hole." 2 1/2 hours of your life well spent. Check it out!
SNL has once again caught my attention. I'm gonna have to watch it regularly from now on. I'm glad they post skits on Hulu and YouTube!
I'm writing a paper for English 320 that compares the UH Manoa English Department to that of UVA Wise in Virginia and University of St. Andrews in Scotland. It will be an interesting one, and we'll see if I can keep it at 5 pages. There's so much information I see!
I'm flying home on Friday, and I can't wait :D

Feels like I'm goin insane, yeahh.
Classes have officially ended. The past few days have all gone right in the most stressful ways. That's a good thing, by the way, in a weird way. What, I thought sophomore year would let me go out quietly? Not a chance. The next week and a half is a nice sour brew of finals, papers, and doctor visits.
Today has been a fantastic day, world. Relatively productive and pretty happy. Let's keep it goin. My confidence today reminds me of a time when "The Middle" by Jimmy Eats World was my anthem.
Hey,
Don't write yourself off yet.
It's only in your head you feel left out,
Or looked down on.
Just try your best,
Try everything you can.
And don't you worry what they tell themselves
When you're away.
It just takes some time,
Little girl, you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything, everything will be just fine,
Everything, everything will be alright. (alright)
Hey,
You know they're all the same.
You know you're doing better on your own, (on your own)
So don't buy in.
Live right now.
Yeah, just be yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's good enough (good enough)
For someone else.
Hey, don't write yourself off yet.
It's only in your head you feel left out, (feel left out)
Or looked down on.
Just do your best, (just do your best)
Do everything you can. (do everything you can)
And don't you worry what their bitter hearts (bitter hearts)
Are gonna say.
This song will forever remind me to keep my chin up. It's all good. =]

Tomorrow
I have a choir concert tomorrow.
I'll fly home two weeks from tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the last day of the last full week of classes.
Tomorrow rocks.

Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
There is no such thing as "our own words." It's what we do with the words that are already out there that makes our work unique.
Red and blue switch sides in a heart. A real one is too complicated to draw all the time. So heart shapes splatter the pages of notes between lovers and elementary school children.
"In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights and cups of coffee? In inches, in miles, in laughter and strife? In five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes, how do you measure a year in the life?" - RENT

Breathe
"So cradle your head in your hand
and breathe, just breathe."
- Anna Nalick
I've been dizzy for about 5 days now. It's the longest attack I've had in my 3 years of experience. I've been hyperventilating, I'm told. I don't realize it. I'll see a neurologist on May 5th.
In better news, I've been talking to the ladies at the Jamba Juice on campus and there's a good chance that I could work there next semester. They're very sweet, and I would love to work with them.
That's my update.

Sorry.
This song is appropriate.
"Vague sound of rain
pierces through my song again
but I get distracted by the way his toes move
when he plays
so I let it burn
I just poured my heart out
there's bits of it on the floor
And I take what's left of it and rinse it under cold water
And call him up for more
And I say baby, yes I feel stupid to call you, but I'm lonely
And I don't think you meant it when you said you couldn't love me
And I thought maybe if I kissed the way you do, you'd feel it too
He said I'm sorry
so sorry
I'm sorry
so sorry
He grabs my wrists
as my fingers turn into angry fists
and I whisper why can't you love me, I'll change for you
I'll play the part
And I say baby, so I feel stupid to call you, but I'm lonely
And I don't think you meant it when you said you couldn't love me
And I thought maybe if I kissed the way you do, you'd feel it too
He said I'm sorry
so sorry
I'm sorry
I am sorry
He said I'm sorry
so sorry
I'm sorry
I am sorry"
